Copy Supervisor
The Copy Supervisor (CS) is a self-starter who collaborates with creative, account and production partners to develop effective direct mail, email, collateral, print advertising and more for a range of Fidelity business units. The CS attends kickoff meetings, offers input on creative strategies, brainstorms with designers to generate conceptual, customer-focused, strategic communications, and is comfortable presenting and selling work to demanding clients. The CS “Gets” the Fidelity voice and furthers the brand with his/her copy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Independently, proactively tackles complex assignments that require creative solutions and strategic thinking.
- Responsible for creating on-brand, on-strategy, benefit-focused creative solutions across a variety of media, including direct mail, collateral, email, print and more.
- Interacts well with clients and project team members to gather project requirements and information.
- Reviews client-supplied copy and edits as necessary. Understands that multiple rounds of revisions may be necessary to achieve a communications piece that all clients are able to agree upon.
- Keeps track of time spent on various projects (down to the quarter-hour) and submits a weekly timesheet.
- Understands the stylistic differences between writing for direct mail, print advertising, and email.
- Effectively presents conceptual work to clients, and confidently makes creative/strategic recommendations. Develops and frames concepts according to strategic requirements and client objectives.
- Mentors junior co-workers and educates clients and colleagues alike on best copywriting practices.
- Reports to and consults with Copy Director on all strategic work produced.
- Ability to supervise external freelancers as necessary
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing, Advertising, English, Creative Writing or other Communications-related discipline.
- Strong writing portfolio with 5+ years relevant work experience, including external and/or internal agencies.
Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of financial services and products (active traders/brokerage, investment guidance, mutual funds, IRA/401(k)/retirement, and 529 plans) preferred.
- Must be comfortable writing in a regulated environment where marketing, compliance and legal personnel influence the final creative product.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to interact professionally and articulately with colleagues and clients.
- Comfortable being responsible for multiple projects on tight deadlines. Ability to find humor in stressful situations.
- Can pleasantly accept extensive client feedback on copy, understanding that numerous account and marketing partners must approve key communications pieces.
- Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams.
- Positive attitude, patient disposition, with a respect for collaborative creativity.
- Knowledge of current, effective direct response techniques.

Group Director of Account Services
Position Overview
The Group Director of Account Services is responsible for developing and maintaining multi-level client relationships for client groups resulting in a high level of client satisfaction and increased Agency business. Working with senior level clients, other Agency department heads, and through the account managers and account teams, the Group Account Director provides strategic input to client marketing and advertising programs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct and manage a group of account managers ensuring strategic leadership and superior marketing and advertising programs for the Agency’s clients.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients at senior levels and work with account managers to establish and maintain strong account relationships at all levels.
- Evaluate and monitor the staffing level and alignment of account management and Agency team resources needed to serve each client. Participate in prioritizing of workload.
- Work in coordination and cooperation with other department heads within the Agency to insure the integrity of the Agency’s product. Adhere to Agency workflow process during project management to ensure high quality communications, which are within Corporate Brand standards.
- Develop and nurture relationships with other Fidelity departments providing services to the Agency and our clients (i.e., Marketing Research, Database, Corp Communications, etc.) in order to enhance Agency service to the client, to add strategic value to our clients’ marketing and advertising programs, and to enhance Agency service.
- Provide guidance and support to the Account Managers and their teams to assure that marketing and advertising programs are implemented and executed properly. Projects could include print advertising, collateral, direct mail, outbound e-mail, fulfillment materials, POD/posters/outdoor, trade show and PR materials and novelties.
- Work with the Account Managers and their teams to identify and develop potential new business opportunities.
- Develop client relations, team building, and strategic marketing skills of the Account Management staff.
- Keep abreast of trends and new developments in marketing, advertising, technology/interactive and financial services in order to maximize future opportunities and growth for the Agency and our clients.
- Fiscally responsible for monitoring, reporting, and negotiating client retainers and budgets
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or equivalent training is required.
- Minimum of 10 – 12 years relevant work experience, to include 3 – 5 years of management experience.
- In-depth financial services experience and/ or a thorough understanding of the full range of Fidelity products and services.
- Integrated direct marketing experience preferred.
- Financial services experience, an MBA or advanced degree/ certificate is strongly preferred.

Senior Media Planner/Buyer
Responsible for media planning and buying for Fidelity non-retail divisions, with focus on business-to-business and consumer print media and online media coordination. Planning includes setting evaluation parameters for overall media categories and vehicles; evaluating, recommending and presenting appropriate media and mix of media to meet each marketing division’s individual needs.
Media Buyer
Responsible for print media buying and some out of home buying for PWI retail advertising campaigns, including local and regional buys. Primary responsibility for accurate ordering, securing ad positions, paperwork, billing and tracking retail print schedules.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or equivalent training is highly desirable.
- Sr. Media Planner/Buyer - Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
