Our client is looking for a skilled, innovative and thoughtful Sr. Art Director for their rapidly expanding digital marketing efforts.
As Sr. Art Director, you'll be responsible for the ideas and execution of digital communications including online advertising, social media, large web initiatives, online video and more.

JOB SUMMARY:
As a member of the Agency at Staples, the Senior Interactive Designer will work directly with interactive designers, developers and copywriters to create sales-generating, award-winning, effective marketing pieces. This Senior Designer will serve as the lead creative visual & information designer on various online projects, providing initial brainstorming through optimized graphic production, with design opportunities ranging from email development to online product centers and microsites to in-depth Flash and rich-media executions. The Designer must have the ability to combine strong concepting with creative design & execution. Solutions should demonstrate a thoughtful approach to strategy and the Easy brand promise.
The Senior Designer must also understand the aspects and steps of the creative process in building interactive design solutions. This includes experience in executing concept sketches, information design hierarchy, wireframes, Photoshop comps, and optimized graphics production; all while supporting, leveraging, and enhancing the Staples’ Contract online brand standards. Working interdependently with other team members on key initiatives to ensure that the creative execution maintains a strong, consistent look and feel will be essential.
Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of business partners and their marketing and ecommerce objectives will be a priority. Partnering with other teams and business partners to understand brand needs and customer insight will be necessary. Establishing effective business solutions through compelling creative designs, while supporting a unique and differentiated online brand experience is expected. Ability to convert creative strategy into compelling design treatments will be essential. Partnering with other designers with projects as needed. Keep up to date on creative as well as online trends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Interactive Design degree strongly preferred.
- Must have 4-6 years of experience in online and rich-media design, preferably within the eCommerce industry.
- Must be proactive & self motivated, highly organized, and posses excellent time-management & communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Comprehensive understanding of marketing, creative and technology.
- High-level concepting and illustration skills are strongly preferred.
- Ability to create solutions from design concept through final execution.
